Handmade ring; Lab Created Ruby Oval, in Sterling Silver or 14K GF
The stone, a personal favorite, is a rich fuchsia red color that never fails to get noticed whenever I wear it. I set the 10x8mm oval gemstone myself in a high-quality prong setting, and then construct the band in either Sterling Silver or 14K GF wire and beads. The side crystals are genuine Swarovski in a custom color, Lt Rose Brandy. The ring shown is in 14k GF.
Lab-created rubies are genuine, synthetic rubies grown in laboratories that share the exact chemical composition, hardness, and optical properties of natural rubies. They have superior clarity and a vibrant red color.
They are real corundum, not imitation or glass, often created using the Flame Fusion technique. They are cleaner and more transparent than natural rubies, which often contain inclusions. Lab-created rubies are more uniform in color and shape, offering high-end, eye-clean quality.
With a hardness of 9, they are just as durable and suitable for daily wear as natural rubies. They are considered more ethical and sustainable, with a smaller carbon footprint and no mining involved.

►14K Gold Filled is a federally regulated amount of 14K gold (5%) rolled onto a base metal, usually brass. It is the next best thing to solid 14K gold.
