These are the best clamps I've ever run across in my 30+ years of bending wire. No more fussing with sticky tapes that are hard to reposition, or small plastic clamps that don't hold well enough. I've been 'testing' these for several years, and now I couldn't tell you where my other, 'old' clamps are. These help you hold your work together while you wrap, creating a neater, more stable piece of jewelry. These are great for beginners, who need a little 'help' getting wraps started (the wire is less likely to argue), and for seasoned jewelry artists as well.

NOTES:  (1) The jaws open to about 5 to 7mm wide, though you could file the rubber to get another millimeter or 2. The tension is not adjustable.

(2) Sometimes during transit, the rubber ends temporarily stick together. Hold the lever out to the side and gently tap the clamp on the edge of a table; the clamp should pop right open.
(3) While I am aware that a good many of these clamps are purchased for 'intimate use', how tightly they hold would depend on the user's perception, though there are several 5-star reviews for BDSM use.

These clamps are 4 inches long, well-made in the US, and hold up well against a lot of use - I use mine EVERY SINGLE DAY. It could also be used to hold small pieces while polishing.
