Alexandrite is one of my personal favorites - the mesmerizing color changes in these stones never fail to get noticed. Depending on the lighting, these change from a dark bluish purple to reddish purple to a blue/green purple. The stone measures 11x9mm oval, and includes a "sew on" style setting in your choice of metals - either high-quality silver or gold-plated prong settings. The settings have 2 holes on the long sides of the setting. The settings are technically an octagon setting, but the stones fit fabulously, and you wouldn't know that unless someone told you that - which I did 🤭 Oddly enough, these would NOT fit in any oval setting I have, O.o
