This entirely handmade ring features a beautiful 7x9mm oval color change lab-created Alexandrite. I adore Alexandrite - that amazing purplish hue and color changing quality under different lighting conditions never fails to get noticed.
Since it is lab grown, it has all of the beauty of a natural Alexandrite stone, along with the color-changing properties but it is far more affordable and doesn't have any inclusions or flaws! I set the stones myself in a high quality silver or gold plated (nickel free) settings, and then constructed the band in either Sterling and Fine Silver or 14k GF wire and beads. The Sterling Silver version is available shiny as shown or oxidized similar to this ring.

►14K Gold Filled is a federally regulated amount of 14K gold (5%) rolled on to a base metal, usually brass. It is the next best thing to solid 14K gold. It has no nickel in it and is considered hypoallergenic. It will not tarnish or discolor your skin. The finish will not just 'flake off' and will last one to five years under heavy wear (like a ring - though I have lots of rings and bracelets that are still great looking after 20 years) and a lifetime under occasional wear (like an ear cuff or earring).
