14k GF and Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Cacoxenite in Amethyst Pendant Necklace
The focal stone Cacoxenite in Amethyst is a beautiful rich gold rutilated dark purple stone, with deep hues of brown and purple. The occlusions are iridescent gold. I wire wrapped (set) it sideways, because to me the occlusions looked like tiny golden castles in a deep purple sky.
The stone setting (pendant) is very wide, 35mm (just under 1 1/2 inches) and 1 3/4" from the top of the bail. It is a mix of Sterling Silver pattern wire, and 14k GF. The stone before I wrapped it was almost 45cts.
The balance of the necklace is a fun and funky combination of leather, brass leafy cones, brass, amethyst and lamp work beads, and sparkly "disco ball" beads in the perfect colors to match the stone. The overall length of the necklace is 16 1/2" long, and fastens with a brass toggle.
Definitely One of a Kind, and will not be duplicated.
Please don't hesitate to ask if have any questions at all.
