Crystals or gems in pre-made sew on type settings combined with a relatively minimal amount of wire combines to create a stunning pair of earrings with a definite southwestern flair. Simply changing the size and shape of the crystal, and/or the number of 'paddle' drops, allows for almost infinite possibilities. Create a pair to match every outfit. ;)

This is a mid-level beginner tutorial - basic wire wrapping and wire handling skills will help you to successfully complete this earring.

Materials suggested:
16 to 20” (40.64 to 50.8cm) 18 or 20ga round wire
soft or ½ hard
12” (30.48cm) 26 round soft wire
2 – 10mm round rivoli crystals in open-back sew-on settings - I have a great selection of sew on crystals here https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyWiredImagination?ref=hdr_shop_menu&section_id=5207178
2 – 5 or 6mm Jump rings
1 pair ear wires

Tools needed:
Flush cutters
thin ruler with millimeters
stepped round nose or standard round nose pliers
flat and/or chain nose pliers
forming or bail pliers with 10-12mm jaw; or a wooden dowel or similar with approximately a 10mm diameter
chasing hammer and bench block
metal file or emory board
