Swarovski Sew-on, in a rare hard to hard-to-find 8mm Purple Haze article 4470. These Swarovski crystal stones are set in a high-quality 4-pronged, open-back setting - photo shows crystal set in silver and gold-plated settings. There are 4 holes in the setting, 2 on 2 sides.
Swarovski Purple Haze is a custom, limited-edition finish that creates a chameleon-like effect. It is applied as a special coating over clear crystals, which causes the base color to flash with subtle purple, pink, and sometimes blue, violet, or yellow hues. The color is highly dynamic and varies dramatically depending on the light and viewing angle. An individual stone can appear to have subtle purple-pink flashes with a deep sparkle or show more prominent hints of blue, green, and yellow.

A small note about foil-backed stones: Swarovski’s sew-ons are excellent quality; I have at least 3 I rarely take off. However, there are chemicals and some oils and lotions that can eat at the foil on the back of the crystal. If in doubt, whether something will hurt the foil, take the ring (or other piece of jewelry off).
