Vintage West German Pink Glass Fire Opal Wire Wrapped Handmade Ring in either Sterling Silver or 14k Gold Fill.
I am so addicted to these gorgeous glass 'opal' stones, I jumped at the chance to get them in this wonderful 10mm round shape. The depth and fire in these are stunning!!! These stones were handmade in the 40's and 50's, and no two are exactly alike. Fire in the stone can be viewed from every angle, and there is a pale milky pinkness to them to mimic a real opal as much as possible. Folks are always amazed when they see the one I wear, and find out it's not a 'real' opal. The high quality stone settings can be either Silver or Antique Bronze color to match (compliment) the bands. (You can specify mixed metal preferences in 'notes to seller')
Your ring will look very, very similar to the rings shown in the photos, being hand made no two rings are ever exactly alike. I select each glass opal, to make sure it has as much fire and shine as possible - I NEVER use a stone that I wouldn't want for myself!

►14K Gold Filled is a federally regulated amount of 14K gold (5%) rolled on to a base metal, usually brass. It is the next best thing to solid 14K gold. It has no nickel in it and is considered hypoallergenic. It will not tarnish or discolor your skin. The finish will last one to five years under heavy wear (like a ring - though I have lots of rings and bracelets that are still great looking after 20 years) and a lifetime under occasional wear (like an ear cuff or earring).
