The center stone is a Vintage Swarovski crystal in Alexandrite. Depending on the lighting, the color 'shifts" between pale lavenders, blues, and greens - though the pale green doesn't happen very often, because I believe it appears with a combination of different lightings. Because of that, this ring seemed to take forever to create. I finally settled on side crystals in Violet AB2X (double AB) since the crystal is at times both violet and pale blue (because of the aurora-borealis finish).

A small note about foil-backed stones: Swarovski's sew-ons are excellent quality; I have at least 3 I rarely take off. However, there are chemicals and some oils and lotions that can eat at the foil on the back of the crystal. If in doubt, whether something will hurt the foil, take the ring off.
