Vitrail Medium 10mm Vintage Swarovski Margarita With or Without a Setting. Yes, you read that correctly - margarita beads with or without settings. I absolutely love margarita beads; the vibrant color, the flower shape. The problem is, they are primarily used as spacers on their 'side'. That's not a 'bad' thing, it just seems a waste of so much sparkly goodness. But put them in a sew-on type setting, and you expand their design possibilities tenfold.

It took a bit of experimenting, and not all sizes have a setting that works with them, but these 10mm margaritas do. There is a slight overhang, but not enough to be unsightly. And the margarita bead hole? I chose to use a flat headpin, secured under the setting (not included), but you could use a bead, ball headpin, or a crystal - totally up to you. Available in 6 or 12 pieces of just the margaritas, or four pieces with silver-plated or gold-plated settings. Finished jewelry shown for design inspiration and are not included.

A small note about foil-backed stones: Swarovski’s sew-ons are excellent quality; I have at least 3 I rarely take off. However, some chemicals, oils, and lotions can eat away at the foil on the back of the crystal. If in doubt, whether something will hurt the foil, take the ring (or other piece of jewelry off.
